Bracelet Size Guide: How to Measure Your Bracelet Size at Home
Buying a gold bracelet can be just as tricky as buying a gold ring, as the wrong size will just not look right. But don’t let this put you off, because determining your bracelet size is easier than you think. So in this blog post, we will give you some tips on how to measure your bracelet size at home so you can buy your favorite gold bracelet without a worry.
Measure an Existing Bracelet
One of the easiest ways to determine your bracelet size is with an existing bracelet. If you already have a bracelet that fits perfectly, you can measure the length of the bracelet to determine your size. To do that, unhook the clasp of the bracelet, place it on a flat surface, and use a ruler to measure the length from one end to the other. For bangles, you need to measure the diameter of the bracelet to determine your size. Again, place the bracelet on a flat surface and use a ruler to measure the inside of the bracelet from one edge to the other. But don’t measure the bracelet itself, just the inside diameter. Once you have the length, you can check a size chart online to find your size.
Measure Your Wrist
You can also determine your bracelet size by measuring the circumference of your wrist. To do that, take a measuring tape and wrap it around your wrist. But it shouldn’t be too tight or too loose as you want to have some wiggle room. Then, round the measurement to the nearest inch/millimeter and determine your size online.
You can also use a strip of paper or a string for this. Once you wrap it around your wrist, use a pen to mark the spot where the paper, tape, or string meets. Take it off, lay it on a flat surface, and use a ruler to measure the distance from the beginning to the marked spot.
Bracelet Measurement Tool
If you want a more accurate method, then you can purchase a bracelet measurement tool. These tools are very cheap and allow you to determine your bracelet size very easily.
Things to Remember
- When you measure an existing bracelet, the total length will be longer than your actual wrist measurement. This is because the ideal bracelet should move around your wrist. But if you want a more snug fit, you can choose a smaller size.
- If you are creating a stack, you don’t want the bracelets to be on top of each other. So measure your arm where you will wear each bracelet.
- Even if you determine your bracelet size correctly, different bracelets may fit differently depending on style. So if your new bracelet doesn’t fit as well as your existing bracelet, it may be due to the style.
- If you want to be absolutely sure about your bracelet size, you should visit a jeweler who can easily measure your bracelet size.
