One of the easiest ways to determine your ring size is with an existing ring. If you already have a ring that fits perfectly, then you can measure the diameter of the ring to determine your size. To do that, you need to place the ring on a flat surface and use a ruler to measure the inside of the ring from one edge to the other. But don’t measure the ring itself, just the inside diameter. Once you have the diameter in millimeters, you can check a size chart online to find your size.

Another method to measure your size with an existing ring is by using a ring sizer chart. You can easily find these online and print them out to measure your ring size. If you don’t have a printer, there are also apps with charts. These charts have circles that represent different ring sizes so you can place your ring on different circles to find the appropriate size.

Paper/String/Tape Method

You can also determine your ring size by measuring the circumference of your finger. To do that, take a strip of paper, measuring tape, or string and wrap it around your finger. It shouldn’t be too tight or too loose - you should be able to slide it over the knuckle without much force. Once you wrap it around your finger, use a pen to mark the spot where the paper, tape, or string meets. Take it off, lay it on a flat surface, and use a ruler to measure the distance from the beginning to the marked spot. Once you know the circumference, use a sizing chart online to find the corresponding ring size.

If you want a more accurate method, then you can purchase a ring sizing tool. These tools are very cheap and come with various rings in different sizes, allowing you to determine your ring size very easily.

Even if you determine your ring size correctly, different rings may fit differently depending on style. So if your new ring doesn’t fit as well as your existing ring, it may be due to the style.

But if you are not too sure about your ring size, then it’s safer to buy a larger size as it’s easier to remove metal from a larger ring than to add metal to a smaller ring.

Keep in mind that your finger size can change depending on the time of day and the weather. For example, they may swell in summer and contract in colder temperatures. So if you feel like your ring feels a bit tight or loose compared to normal, don’t worry, it’s probably the weather.
